Leather baby Bibs - No words needed!

Selling leather bibs takes a lot of thought and time... You need to think carefully about the right messages and images but sometimes there are images that need no words or explanation!

However, I couldn't help thinking that this would be a good image to convey how useful a leather bib is compared to some other methods people think of... Or, you might re-think asking a small child to 'put the kettle on...'

I also thought that this would be a good image to convey how painful it is to keep washing, drying and replacing other types of bibs but that would be making light of this poor young person's pain!

Finally, it was leather bibs or rubber socks / gloves. After extensive field trials (well, this one child was all it took) we went with the leather bibs!

Leather bibs a big hit in Manchester!

Last weekend we exhibited at The Baby Show - Manchester & it was a huge success! This is the first time that the Baby Show has come to the North West and we did wonder how successful it would be - but it was brilliant! The turn out from people from all over the North of England was fantastic and you loved the bibs.

It still surprises us how many people have never seen or heard of a leather bib despite our efforts this year. It is always a pleasure to talk through the unique benefits and then sell a bib, or usually two. In fact more people bought two bibs than the people who just bought one.

As usual our best selling bib was our Cheeky Monkey - http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/monkey-8-p.asp

Sarah Jane at The Baby Show Manchester

Yes, we are taking the short trip down the M56 to sunny Manchester (well, I can but hope) to be part of the very first Baby Show - Manchester http://www.thebabyshow.co.uk/manchester-central/. We had a brilliant time at Earls Court last month and we were just thinking "we must do Manchester" when a very kind guy from another stand offered us his place, as he couldn't go! (Thanks Adrian)...

So if you live anywhere near Manchester and fancy meeting up with us we will be at the GMEX for the next 3 days and we would love to see you - stand B10! There will a cracking discount that is available for the show ONLY!

If you can't get to Manchester why not have a look on our web site http://www.sarahjane.uk.co/. If you can't be bothered doing either then put your feet up and have a relaxed weekend - you probably deserve it!

Leather Bibs really are a great Christmas Present!

What do you buy for the people who have everything! To be very frank - most of us don't 'need' anything - we are all knee deep in 'stuff' and if we do need something we usually just go out and get it! Nigella (I'm worth a cool £110 million) Lawson made her children give all their Christmas presents away, bar one, to teach them the true value of Christmas - actually it's not as cruel or crazy as it sounds - check out the article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/celebritynews/3284939/Nigella-Lawson-made-children-give-away-Christmas-presents.html

So - what do you buy for the people who have everything - well if they have a baby under 2 - 3 years why not buy them one of our gorgeous leather bibs! www.sarahjane.uk.com

A leather bib is definately NOT in the catagory of more 'stuff' - they not only look fantastic but they definately save you time, money and effort. What a great gift! Not only do family or friends get something that appears great but will actually help them in lots of practical ways and make a tiny dent in the growing climate change problems.

So - which bib to buy! Well, you decide - have a look on our web site http://www.sarahjane.uk.com/ and see if you can pick a favourite.
My favourite, if your interested, is the Monkey bib http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/monkey-8-p.asp

Sarah Jane at The Baby Show

Yes, as previously mentioned we ventured south and exhibited at the massive and brilliant The Baby Show - Earls Court. Nearly 20,000 people visited our stand - well - they were there but it might be a slight exageration that they all came to our stand (but it felt like it at times!) Blimey, it was so busy, but fantastic, to get so many people telling us that they love the bibs and buying them! What was crazy was that so many people could not make up their minds and bought 2 - Fantastic!

Anyway here is the run down on the top 10 sellers at the show - no surprises here

Practical Parenting loves LEATHER BIBS

The UK's top parenting magazine (Practical Parenting) recently featured the very stylish and funky Caterpillar bib in their feature article about bibs! Even though I'm completely biased I was not in the least surprised to see us in the top slot!
http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/caterpillar-23-p.asp
The Caterpillar bib also went down very well at our recent appearance at the UK's biggest Baby Show - imaginatively named 'The Baby Show'. In fact we had such a great response with the bibs we are also exhibiting at The Baby Show - Manchester! It's on from 14th - 16th November and is the first time that the Baby Show has been there! So come & have a great day out in sunny Manchester!

The funny thing about shows is that you never know what is going to be popular and what's not (the British public eh!) - for instance the first day in London we completely sold out of the Salamander bib http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/salamander-15-p.asp and the following 2 days we only sold a few.

On the first day we didn't sell a single apple bib but on the following days sold loads!http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/apple-25-p.asp
Anyway, it just goes to show... we all have our favourite bib so why not have a look at the full range and see which is your favourite

Myleene Klass "loves" leather bibs!

How exciting - we were in Liverpool yesterday to meet up with Myleene Klass! She was launching her new 'Baby K' range of clothes and accessories at Mothercare and we popped along to say hi and talk about bibs with her.

Firstly, she is so lovely and beautiful - wow! Secondly, she loves the leather bibs! Myleene has been using one of our bibs with her baby daughter Ava and said

"I'm using it - I've tested it and I love it!"
Myleene has a butterfly and cupcake bib. Check out and buy the beautiful Butterfly bib at http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/bugs-9-c.asp
or the delicious Cupcake bib at http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/fresh-10-c.asp
Have a look at some more images of Sarah with Myleene on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sarah-Jane-UK-Ltd/20778512590 and why not sign up as one of our friends!

Butterfly bib a big hit in Belfast!

As I staggered out of bed at 4.15am on Saturday morning (yes, Saturday!!!) and headed off for 'Big in to Baby' in Belfast I kept wondering "will they like the bibs?" and the answer was a resounding YES! The top selling bib, yet again, was our gorgeous Butterfly bib - http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/butterfly-20-p.asp but it only narrowly beat the funky boys Fire Engine bib into 2nd place http://shop.sarahjane.uk.com/fire-engine-5-p.asp

We could never have actually made it to Belfast for the weekend without the help from our new friends at Morrck - who were absolutely brilliant! They sell a gorgeous range of products - check out 'The Morrck Baby Hoodie', 'The Morrck Wrapture' & 'The Morrck Blanket' http://www.morrck.com/

If you missed us in Belfast but would love to meet us why not come to The Baby Show in Earls Court, London on 17 - 19 October 2008.

If you want to catch a glimpse of our wonderful LEATHER bibs and you live in Ireland why not pop along to see us at Big into Baby next weekend!

They are catching the overnight ferry from sunny Birkenhead so spare them a thought if the weather is bad! Actually, I've just remembered why we are flying - someone doesn't like sailing!!!

691,013 Leather bibs!

That's how many bibs we would need to supply if we gave every baby born in the UK, in 2007, a beautiful LEATHER bib. With over 30 different designs to choose from we could save a serious amount of time & money for all those new mums and dads!

Maybe the credit crunch has hit the contraception market because the birth rate has not been this high since 1991... Are we all staying in more! Anyway, whatever the reason it's always a good time to check out our current collection of the most adorable bibs. With all that energy exerted having a bib that saves you time and effort might be a big help! Have a look at the full range at www.sarahjane.uk.com or call 0151 348 4252

Sarah Jane - beat the rain

No wonder we Brits talk about the weather - where has the summer gone! It's never stopped raining for the last 2 weeks... Actually, I think I'm to blame because the weather was lovely for at least a couple of weeks before that and I (foolishly) said "let's have a BBQ!" That was it - constant rain from that day onwards...
Anyway, if you need cheering up with some retail therapy, or you experience a break in the weather and actually go to a BBQ, the answer is the same - BUY this summer’s gorgeous must-have accessory for that special baby! Our leather bibs are not only super-stylish, have over 30 wonderful designs and if you’re at a BBQ you can just wipe it clean and pop it in your change bag.

Check out the full range at www.sarahjane.uk.com

In the unlikely event you still care – I did have the BBQ – in the rain! I’ve learnt my lesson – I won’t mention it next summer.

Holiday help!

I read somewhere that there had been a survey that revealed 80% of mums have to do ALL the holiday planning & packing before heading off for the family holiday less than relaxed! Did we really need a survey to learn that one!

Now the school holidays are here I'm sure every mum in the country is busy thinking up things to do or planning for the family holiday or just gazing into her crystal ball wondering what the heck the weather is going to do in the next few minutes!

Well, here at Sarah Jane we can take one packing headache away. Instead of packing dozens of bibs and wondering how you are going to get them washed and dried why not buy one of our wonderful leather bibs that just need a wipe or a rinse under the tap. Mums all over the UK are getting one of our 30+ designs to take away - why not choose one now and save yourself at least one less job!

Celebrities are wearing our bibs!

Actually that is not strictly true - celebrity’s babies are wearing our bibs! We could tell you their names but we would have to kill you straight afterwards & that's not strictly legal. However, all will be revealed in the fullness of time but we are all very excited!

Crocs - leave me alone!

My wife wants me to have a pair of Crocs - she keeps telling me how amazing they are but I normally like to wait until something's out of fashion before I want it! It doesn't stop her trying to 'convert' me!

Crocs have spent years becoming an overnight success - suddenly out of no where they have all these great shoes. Not only do they have a great product(s) but they've worked very hard on getting the message out!

At Sarah Jane we are just getting started in getting the word out about the revolutionary product that will change the way we do bibs! Our friends at Mally Bibs Canada have spent years developing a highly innovative and functional leather bib that in Canada & USA is a designer bib with bags of style.

PLEASE don't make me have Crocs - unless they are at least a year out of fashion & please help us emulate Crocs success - check out our full range at shop.sarahjane.uk.com
